Caregivers Support Group Bake Sale

Thursday, September 24  *  7 a.m. -2 p.m.
Midwest Medical Center * Galena, IL

Have a sweet time supporting the Alzheimer's Association at this bake sale!  The Galena, Illinois Alzheimer's Association support group will be cooking up delicious treats as a way to raise money to support vital programs and services.  Or if you'd like to donate a baked item for the sale, drop it off at the registration desk at Midwest Medical Center Wednesday, September 23 before 6 p.m. or in the morning on the 24th. Visit the sale in the Education Room by the Vista Cafe.

Seeds of Hope Planted in 10-Acre Amazing Brain Corn Maze!

Creating a 10-acre maze in the shape of a giant brain may be a corn-y idea, but in the best possible way!  Kathy's Pumpkin Patch in Donnellson, Iowa will present this amazing maze, which was just planted this May, as a way to promote awareness of Alzheimer's disease and raise money for services provided by the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Iowa Chapter.  When grown, this giant maze, the size of 11 football fields, will promote awareness of brain health and nutrition through questions at key junctions in the maze, helping participants find their way out with each correct answer.  Also planned are custom educational coloring books and many other opportunities for visitors to mix fun and learning, as well as a live webcam showing the maze.  

One dollar from every admission fee will be donated to the Greater Iowa Chapter.  We thank Kathy's Pumpkin Patch for creating this unique maze and Pioneer for donating the seed corn.  For more information, see Kathy's Pumpkin Patch.

Host Your Own Event

Are you looking a way to use your creativity and raise money for the Greater Iowa Chapter?  Why not hold your own third party fundraising event?  It's easy, fun and provides critical support for services.

1. Select an event from the list below, or contact us with your idea.
2. Call 515.440.2722 and ask for a Third Party Fundraising Event form.
3. Host your event, and have fun!
4. Submit your event report along with proceeds to the Greater Iowa Chapter.
