We have many support groups, at various times and locations. Check to see if there is a group close to you that fits your needs.

If you have Alzheimer's
Specialized support groups available for person's with Alzheimer's and their caregivers.

Memory Minders
This time-limited support group is for individuals with early-onset or in the early stage Alzheimer's or related dementia. Sessions combine education with support, and include personal and practical tips, memory aids and cognitive exercises. Participants must be willing and able to discuss their diagnosis. Free, but please pre-register. Memory Minders meets at the same time as the Caregiver Support Group.

Early Stage/Early Onset Caregiver Support Group
Support group specifically for family caregivers of a person diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease before the age of 65 or those who have a loved one attending Memory Minders. Caregivers will be encouraged to share experiences and learn from each other. Free, but please pre-register. Caregiver Support Group meets at the same time as Memory Minders.

Telephone support group

The Greater Iowa Chapter offers a telephone support group offered monthly for caregivers living in rural areas or who are unable to attend another support group. This group meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm. You must email Mary McNally to make a reservation and receive the toll-free number for the group.
