Be Part of the Movement - At Any Age
By: Jonah Berg
I may only be 16 and a 1/2 months old, but I attended my second Memory Walk last weekend. In fact, I even raised $130 this year. With the help of my mom and dad, I asked my Aunts and Uncles to sponsor me. I'm just learning to say "please" and "thank you" so this gave me good practice. My daddy has a large family, which helped too! The day of the Eau Claire Memory Walk was beautiful and I enjoyed a nice stroll through Carson Park. I pushed my stroller for some of it and my mom and Auntie pushed me the rest of the way. I earned a great t-shirt, which I'll be able to wear years to come. (I’m just a little guy and it's nice to know I'll have something to keep for awhile.) The moral of my story is you can team up with the Alzheimer's Association and help fight this disease and make a difference at any age. Thanks to my dad, aunts and uncles who donated money and to my mom for helping me write my story. (I'm not allowed to use the computer yet...something about peanut butter and keyboards.)
