Volunteer opportunities

The Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley Chapter is looking for volunteers throughout its seven-county coverage area. Click here  to read our latest volunteer newsletter.

Caregiver Support Group Facilitators: Has Alzheimer’s or a related dementia touched your life? Do you want to help others caring for someone with the disease? We offer a free support group facilitator training that can prepare you to lead a group in your area.

Community outreach: Help us reach the communities you care about by leading activities at faith organizations, community centers, neighborhood events and more. By bringing information and education to places like these, you are helping to grow the cause and reach those in need.

Office support: Move our mission forward by supporting a variety of office activities, such as mailings, phone banks and communication efforts.

Professional skills and personal passions: If you’re skilled in clerical and office procedures, planning, nonprofit boards, social work, health, finance, communications, marketing, community outreach, public speaking, diversity outreach, fundraising and/or more, we have a need for your expertise.

The Longest Day®: This fundraising and awareness event, held annually around the summer solstice to honor those facing Alzheimer’s, requires year-round planning and support. Help develop this exciting global event in your area! Click here for a list of committee positions available.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s®: Be a part of the world’s largest event to raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. We have a variety of roles available, including a year-round planning committee, team recruitment opportunities and event-day support.
