According to day of event estimates, 290 Teams and 1,687 Walkers have participated in our local 2009 Memory Walk season already...That's a 31% increase in the number of registered teams, and a 19% increase in the number of registered walkers from Memory Walk 2008!!!
Even in today's tough fiscal climate, our walkers have already SURPASSED A NATIONAL MEMORY WALK GOAL by raising more than $200 per walker (on average). 18 of our local walkers successfully raised more than $2,500 per walker as of the event date (including 5 walkers who raised more than $5,000 by walk day, 1 whom raised a staggering $11,000+ by the event date)!!
Our local corporate sponsors, teams and walkers have even raised more than $400,000 for the cause so far combined - This is a very conservative number as it doesn't include the THOUSANDS more that has been raised and turned-in AFTER the day of the event so far!!!
