Visa Updates and Invitation Letter

Residents of a foreign country seeking to attend or participate in ICAD 2008 will require appropriate documents to enter U.S. If you’re a citizen of a foreign country, in most cases you’ll need a visa to enter the United States. As of October 26, 2006, any passport issued on or after this date by a Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country must be an e-Passport for VWP travelers to be eligible to enter the U.S. without a visa. The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. You may also consult with the Consular Officer at your embassy or consulate who decides what kind of visa you need, when you apply. This letter is intended to assist participants who need to obtain a Visa or permission to attend ICAD 2008. It is not an official invitation covering fees and other expenses, nor does it imply any financial support from ICAD organizers.
