Multi-Disciplinary Certificate Program in Dementia Care, Assessment, and Management

Length: 48 hours (six sessions)

Cost: $525 before 2/26/2009 and $600 after this date. Lunch time will be reserved for networking and problem solving activities. Lunch will be on your own and a list of local eateries will be provided. Dress is casual.

This program for a multi-disciplinary audience provides up-to-date information and skill development about assessment, care, and management of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. A host of  experts will offer psychological, theoretical, social, legal and therapeutic perspectives that focus on practical application. Attendance at five (5) of the six (6) sessions plus completion of self-study exercises is required to earn the Certificate in Professional Continuing Education in Dementia Assessment, Care, and Management and college credit. Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

 
Up to 48 hours of credit will be awarded to the following professional groups: Dental Hygienists, Dieticians, Marriage and Family Therapists, Massage Therapists, Nurses, Nursing Home Administrators, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Professional Clinical Counselors, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, and Activity Professionals.  In addition, three semester credit hours will be provided at no additional cost through the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
 
Your tuition is tax deductible: All expenses of Continuing Education (including registration, fees, travel, meals and lodging) taken to maintain and improve professional skills are tax deductible according to Treasury Regulation 1.162-5 Coughlin vs. Commissioner, 203 F2d 307.
 
Cancellation Policy: Full refund if cancelled by February 26, 2009. No refund after February 26, 2009. You may send a substitute with prior notification.
