About ALZ Stars
This is the premier athletic team that represents the Alzheimer’s Association across the nation. In Illinois the ALZ Stars participate in many athletic events. Today more than 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease. Your participation in ALZ Stars will help make a difference in the life of someone affected by this devastating disease. All funds raised by ALZ Stars participants help support vital community outreach programs and research on a national level.
ALZ Stars Events
Race to Reverse 5k:
This race highlights the beautiful parks, paths, and streets of Lombard. Support Alzheimer’s Association through a corporate sponsorship, participating in the run, or just being a spectator!
Rundown Alzheimer’s:
Rundown Alzheimer’s offers a unique perspective of the home of Chicago’s White Sox, U.S Cellular Field. This 2 mile fun run concludes with a lap around the warning track.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon:
Challenge yourself to become an inspiration for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. Go the distance with ALZ Stars, in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon:
Run a marathon with the best incentive to cross the finish line. ALZ Stars challenges athletes to run or walk 26.2 miles to increase awareness and inspire others to take action in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is a major marathon, in fact it is one of the five World Marathon Majors.
Illinois Marathon:
When you join ALZ Stars, you're racing and raising money for the millions of Americans who are affected by Alzheimer's disease. Get out of your comfort zone and test your limits for a cause that needs ALZ Star support by running the Illinois Marathon at the University of Illinois.
