About ALZ Stars

Go the distance with ALZ Stars! We're making moves to end Alzheimer's Disease one step at a time while we raise awareness and funds to benefit the research, care and support of the Alzheimer's Association. When you join ALZ Stars, you'll become part of a team that is passionate about finding a cure and making a difference in the lives of Alzheimer's patients and their caretakers. You'll also receive benefits such as fundraising and training support, opportunities for group runs and social activities, event apparel, fundraising incentives and event weekend activities such as pasta dinners and pre and post event festivities! And of course there is no better benefit than being a part of the team!

Please note that ALZ Stars registration is separate from event registration. ALZ Stars does not cover event registration.

ALZ Stars Events

Cinco de Miler 
Date: Saturday, May 7th
Location: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL

Uno, dos, tres ... Let's get ready to RACE! Join ALZ Stars for Chicago's only 5 mile race celebrating Mexico's culture, the CINCO de MILER, all while joining in the fight against Alzheimer's disease! You will challenge yourself to change the course of Alzheimer’s disease by signing up to be an ALZ Star. We'll go the distance in the fight against this devastating disease by training for and completing the CINCO de MILER while raising valuable funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.


Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Date:  October 9, 2016
Location: Grant Park - Chicago, IL

The Alzheimer's Association has guaranteed entries into the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon!

Are you interested in running the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon? Make your miles matter in the fight to END ALZ by doing it as a member of ALZ Stars. Benefits include marathon training programs with access to coaching and experts on important training topics, fully supported fundraising web-pages, fundraising incentives, exclusive team apparel, pasta dinner, race day pre & post event space, and most importantly, the camaraderie of a team that is striving for the same vision - a world without Alzheimer's!


Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8k

Challenge yourself to change the course of Alzheimer’s disease by signing up to run the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8k with ALZ Stars! This race race is one of Chicago's best running celebrations, with a one-of-a-kind course that weaves its way through Chicago's Loop - starting and finishing in Grant Park! Go the distance in the fight against this devastating disease by training for and completing this super fun 8k while raising valuable funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Let's Shuffle to END ALZ!

Run it! Bike it! Swim it! Hike it! CREATE it!  You have the freedom to choose your own event to raise funds in the fight against Alzheimer's -  WHEREVER your challenges take you! It's the perfect fit for you to find your own challenge and accomplish your goals while supporting the Alzheimer's Association. The miscellaneous program also allows you to choose your own fundraising goal and earn ALZ Stars event day apparel when you raise $100! We're here to help you set your goals and support you as you reach them!
