What is Team CARE

Team CARE (Conquering Alzheimer’s Running Endeavor) is the Alzheimer’s Association running team for the annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Chicago Distance Classic. Team CARE is marking its seventh year as a Charity Partner of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and its first year as a Bronze Charity Partner of the Chicago Distance Classic.

This year, the Chicago Distance Classic will be on Sunday, August 10th.  The Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be on Sunday, October 12th.

Team CARE members are never just one of the crowd with the Alzheimer’s Association!

• Team CARE members train for months to run the 13-mile half marathon and 26.2-mile marathon
• They also raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association research program and for Association programs and services.  In 2007, more than 250 Team CARE members raised $261,350 for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Team CARE has raised more than $661,000 since their first Marathon in 2002.  Learn more about the 2007 team.

Team CARE Member Commitments

If you register as a Team CARE member before the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon closes, you pay us a $25 registration fee to be on Team CARE. In addition, you commit to raising a minimum of $900.

Note: You also must register as a runner for the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Registration with Team CARE does not register you as a runner in the Marathon.

If you register as a Team CARE member for the Chicago Distance Classic, you pay us a $25 registration fee to be on Team CARE.  In addition, you commit to raising a minimum of $200.
