Submitting Donations
All donations must be turned in to the Alzheimer’s Association—Greater Illinois Chapter before or on Marathon Day, Sunday, October 12th.

Tips for Fundraising Success
- Ask people for donations to support Team CARE instead of asking for pledges. (Remember, all donations must be turned in on or before Marathon Day.
- Send letters to potential donors in which you talk about Team CARE, why you’re a member and why you hope they will make a donation to you through Team CARE to support the Alzheimer’s Association. Remind recipients their donations are tax-deductible. Don’t forget to include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
- Check out your employer’s matching gift policy—many companies match their employees’ charitable contributions.
- Host a gathering at your home or club with a part of the time dedicated to talking about Team CARE., why you’re a member and inviting guests to make a donation to you through Team CARE to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
- Treat co-workers or members of a social, civic or fraternal organization with donuts or bagels. Post a sign inviting their support in exchange for a tasty treat. For example, the sign could read: "Please take one — and support the Alzheimer’s Association by donating 50¢ per donut or $13 per mile for every mile I Joe Smith runs in the 26.2-mile Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 12th."
