Early Stage Memory Loss Program

The Early-Stage Memory Loss Program is for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, their family members, partners, or friends. The groups provide education, emotional support, and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment. Topics may vary but usually include health and wellness information, updates on research and medications, legal and financial planning, and changing roles and relationships.

The facilitators are experienced dementia care experts trained by the Alzheimer’s Association. There are two kinds of groups: time-limited groups that meet on a short-term basis (usually 8 or 10 weeks) and those that meet monthly on an ongoing basis.

Participants must be in the early stages of memory loss, aware of their diagnosis and willing to talk about it with others. Family members, partners and friends are encouraged to attend.

These programs are a collaborative effort between the Alzheimer's Association and the agencies/programs listed below. An interview is required in order to register for the program. Please contact the programs or individuals listed below for more information or to arrange an interview.
