September is World Alzheimer's Month - a time to shine a purple light for the 35.6 million people globally afflicted with Alzheimer's. We need your help to honor the millions of people who struggle with this disease every day by mobilizing friends, families, neighbors, co-workers and customers to help bring an end to Alzheimer's disease.

Go purple with a purpose! Thousands of Americans will turn their Facebook profile purple with an “END ALZ” icon. Wear purple to work and encourage your coworkers to have an Alzheimer’s awareness day. The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter can offer yard signs, posters and other materials to help you go purple and support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in your area. Please consider hanging these posters in your workplace. We can also provide you with an article for your company eNews.

Take the lead and learn how your business can support World Alzheimer's Month. Support, educate, empower and declare through some of these partnership opportunities.

Whether it's by sharing a diagnosis — or taking action to honor a family member — brave individuals are overcoming stigma & facing Alzheimer's head on. Alzheimer's Action Day Message from Congressman Marlin Stutzman

I applaud you and the entire Alzheimer' s Association for your work to spread understanding and awareness on Alzheimer's Action Day. Early diagnosis is essential to effective treatment of this disease and the decision to seek treatment is not easy. Increased public awareness, earlier diagnoses, and added participation in clinical trials resulting from Alzheimer's Awareness Day could dramatically improve the lives of those affected by this form of dementia.
