A variety of educational programs are available for community groups.  Trained staff and volunteers present over 150 programs a year.

Speaker's Bureau

A Speaker’s Bureau is available for community groups who would like more information on Alzheimer’s disease, helping friends and families cope, and Alzheimer’s Association services.

Fifteen to forty-five minute presentations can be customized for your group on a variety of topics.  In addition, three one hour programs are also available:

Understanding Memory Loss
Understanding Memory Loss is an introductory program for anyone who suspects memory loss and/or is interested in learning about it. The basics about memory loss, getting a diagnosis, and how to assist someone with memory loss will be covered.

Maintain Your Brain
Maintain Your Brain is about living a brain healthy lifestyle. Mounting evidence suggests that we can manage certain risk factors and maintain optimal brain functions.  Just as we can take steps to maintain a healthy heart, we can manage certain risk factors to maintain a healthy brain.  This workshop will cover specific things you can do to maintain your brain.

Partnering with Your Doctor
Partnering With Your Doctor is designed for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers who want to improve how they interact with their doctor. The workshop provides caregivers and people with dementia the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully partner with their physicians and other health care professionals in order to provide the highest-quality dementia care possible.
