Skeet, an avid golfer, was born in 1905 in Frankfort, Indiana and lived a productive and fun-filled life to the age of 93. He worked for Sink & Edwards Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors in Indianapolis for 66 years, retiring as president and owner. He was a member of the Junto of Indianapolis and a Life Member of the American Contract Bridge League.
Skeet played most of his golf in Lebanon, Indiana where he was never distracted by the conversations that he initiated during his own backswing. Skeet is a father to Betty Light, Jack Thompson, and Marian Sawrey; grand-father to 18, great-grandfather to 42, and great-great-grandfather to four.
The Title Sponsors of the Skeet Thompson Memorial Golf Outing are Skeet’s grandchildren, Jim Thompson, owner of Daddy Jack’s Inc., Doug and Keith Light, and Marianne Light Townley, owners of Ceremica Inc.
