2nd Quarter of 2013: Ray Poland and Sons

The Alzheimer’s Association Inland Northwest Chapter is pleased to recognize Ray Poland and Sons Inc. as our first Quarterly Corporate Supporter.

Ray Poland and Sons Inc., based in Kennewick, was incorporated in 1976 by Ray and Ruby Poland with their two sons, Dennis and Doug Poland. The business continues with construction and site work including earth work, underground and design; demolition and recycling; concrete; snow removal; pumps, and pipe bursting. The Poland family became involved with the Alzheimer’s Association following the diagnosis of Dennis' wife Valerie Poland in 2002. Their daughter, Melissa Poland-Knapik, led the family in getting involved. The family participated in their first Memory Walk in 2003 by traveling to Spokane. Since that time the Poland family company under the leadership of Dennis Poland has continued as sponsors and participants in all fundraising areas for the Chapter. They are instrumental in the creation of the Inland Northwest Chapter's largest and most successful Walk To End Alzheimer’s held in the Tri-Cities in mid-September.

Congratulations and thank you Ray Poland and Sons Inc. for a job well done!

This award is based on the exceptional philanthropic dedication of corporations that contribute to the Alzheimer’s cause through sponsorship and support of the Chapter’s fundraising events. Quarterly we will be recognizing our special sponsors who assist in assisting us promote our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.
