Make a million-dollar difference

On September 21 – World Alzheimer’s Day™ – thousands of people and organizations around the world will raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and the 26 million people – more than 5 million in the United States – living with the disease.

Researchers predict that by 2050 the global prevalence of the disease will quadruple, affecting more than 100 million individuals. If you don't know someone with this mind-robbing disease, you soon will.

In support of World Alzheimer’s Day, you can help the Alzheimer's Association raise $1 million for Alzheimer care, support and research. The Harrah’s Foundation will match it dollar-for-dollar up to $1 million.

There are many fun, easy ways you and your friends, family and co-workers can get involved to help us reach the million-dollar goal during the month of September:

Host a dinner party
Give family and friends a fun and delicious evening in. Ask guests to donate to the Alzheimer's Association what they would have spent on a dinner out. We'll help you get your party started with kits, tools, tips, sample menus and recipes from Food Network TV stars the Hearty Boys and celebrity party planner David Tutera.
