We're On a Winning Streak!

For the fourth year in a row the annual Dealing with Alzheimer's Texas Hold'em Tournament in Lawrence was dealt a winning hand. More than 100 players sat in for the 2009 tournament on Friday, May 1 and helped the Heart of America Chapter raise $17,000 which will provide programs and services to improve the lives of thousands of local community members already affected as well as support research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s.

Even though all that attended enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and the tournament play, only one person could claim the winning hand. This year's winner, Chip Knapp, was awarded a Las Vegas package including roundtrip airfare and a 3-night hotel stay for two.
