Game Goes to the
Blondes...

...but the Brunettes aren't taking
the loss lightly and are already
gearing up for a rematch next year!


On Saturday, August 29, 2009, these two amazing teams took to the field for a competitive game of flag football in front of 200 spectators! Along with being great athletes, these players and coaches also showed their fundraising skills by raising more than $22,000 in our effort to tackle Alzheimer's!

Blondes vs. Brunettes is a flag football game played by the area's best and brightest women who are dedicated to making a difference. Two teams of women – divided to reflect the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes – compete in the fun, but competitive, game to help raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter. In addition, each player works to raise money to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. For more information about playing or coaching, contact Trisha McClanahan at 913.831.3888 or trisha.mcclanahan@alz.org
