The 2009 Memories in the Making Art Auction held on April 30th at the Hobbs Building was a tremendous success showcasing 44 pieces of art, all painted in the Memories in the Making program by individuals with Alzheimer's disease. We commemorated this wonderful event by asking one of the Memories in the Making artists, Ken Roberts, to paint something we could reproduce as a poster for sale, with proceeds going directly to the Alzheimer's Association. Because the Kansas City community has continued to be so supportive of the Memories in the Making program and the Alzheimer's Association, we asked Ken to paint his favorite image of Kansas City.
With that as a guideline, Ken painted "The Scout Oversees Kansas City". The poster sells for $25 and is a standard 22 in. x 28 in. poster size. Learn more about Memories in the Making |
