The Kentucky Derby may be known as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports," but the most exciting party for the 2012 famous race will be in the Power & Light district. Enjoy a mint julep, lunch catered by Maker's Mark, and mingle among the crowd as you check out the exciting silent and live auction items, raffle prizes and contests. When the Derby horses make their way to the starting gate at Churchill Downs, Derby Fest guests will see it all, up-close and personal on the LIVE! Block screen in the Power & Light covered courtyard.
Attire is southern formal and you can complete your chic Derby look with a custom-made Derby hat made locally by Designs by Cole. When you place your order be sure to tell them you are purchasing your hat to wear to the Kansas City Derby Fest because ten percent of all hat sales sold for, or at, the Derby Fest will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
