Memory Walk
Our Signature Event that MOVES the Cause Forward
|
Community members throughout the Chapter's bi-state service area took a huge step in the right direction at one of the six Memory Walks that took place this 2009 season. New faces emerged amongst the veteran walkers, but those who may have started out as strangers soon learned others shared their passion and the more than 4,000 attendees took a united stance in the fight against Alzheimer’s as they walked together. These walkers, along with their supporters, corporate sponsors, volunteers and in-kind donors all made it possible for us to reach yet another record-breaking fundraising total of $530,000! Thank you to everyone who joined the Memory Walk movement this year. The Heart of Amercia Chapter, and all those affected by Alzheimer's, truly appreciate your drive to make this important cause known, understood and supported throughout Kansas and Missouri and ultimately throughout the nation.
