The Alzheimer’s Association began a movement to dramatically increase awareness and concern about Alzheimer’s. We’re calling on 5 million Americans – one for every person living with the disease – to become a Champion and join the Alzheimer cause. We’re closer than ever to research breakthroughs that have the potential to change the course of this disease.
That’s why celebrities from the worlds of entertainment and sports, including Dick Van Dyke, Phyllis George, Bryant Gumbel and Terrell Owens have lent their faces and voices to this passionate message. They want to help dispel public misperceptions and move people to take action in the fight against Alzheimer’s in the following ways:
• ACT now to end Alzheimer’s – get involved in the fight.
• VOICE your support – become an advocate, help spread the word abut the disease and tell your story.
• MOVE the Alzheimer’s Association’s cause forward – donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or volunteer for the Chapter.
• OPEN your mind – learn the facts about Alzheimer’s and help us educate others.
In conjunction with this national effort Kentucky Governor, Steve Beshear and his Cabinet have joined the Champions campaign to lend their support and help make a difference.
Sign up to be a Champion and help us reach our goal of 5 million Champions for Alzheimer's. Together, we can make a difference!! Sign up at http://www.actionalz.org/. Let’s win this fight!
