Introduction to the Best Friends Approach to Dementia
This program will provide dementia care training for professionals in the internationally recognized Best Friends Approach™.  Taught by Tonya Cox, co-author and Christian Care Communities’ Director of Community Based Services, this method celebrates the concept of friendship and applies it to dementia care.  The Best Friends Approach™ has been shown to improve the quality of life and reduce challenging behaviors in persons with dementia.  Participants will learn new techniques to engage and care for persons with dementia and will come away with a refreshing new perspective on dementia care.
