Kay's Story
Text Size controlsNormal font sizeMedium font sizeLarge font size

My story is quite simple. I was blessed to learn about the Alzheimer's Hospitality Room in Florence, Oregon. Through my volunteering, I have found a wonderful group of people; the ones who volunteer to make this group work, and more importantly, the clients (who I love).

Each of these people are wonderful, bright and talented individuals. Sometimes you get really lucky and strike a chord somewhere inside. You learn wonderful interesting things about their lives. Recently, I learned that we are unique in the way we are funded, and the particular opportunities that we offer both the client and their caregiver.

Yes, we lose someone along the way, but in the meantime, we have been given the time to know them and their families. Check us out, perhaps you can do something similar in your community.
