Early Stage Social Engagement Programs

Memory Café *In partnership with Half Hollow Hills Library

Memory Cafes offer people with Alzheimer's and other related dementias, as well as their caregivers, a chance to socialize in a safe, relaxing atmosphere.  Enjoy a free buffet!

Out on the Town

Early Stage activities and outings offer people with Alzheimer's disease, as well as their families and caregivers a chance to socialize and experience their community in a safe, relaxed atmosphere.  Activities/outings will include museums, botanical gardens, historical sites and more!  Registration is required.

Reminiscence Roundup

The Alzheimer's Association's Reminiscence Roundup is a creative arts program for people in the Early Stage of Alzheimer's disease or dementia.  Attendees participate in activities such as music, painting, creative writing, movement and other activities, which offer cognitive stimulation and socialization.

Memory Meet Up

The Alzheimer's Association's Memory Meet Up is designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers and people in the early stage of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia through regularly scheduled meetings.  These groups help participants develop coping methods and encourage caregivers to maintain their personal, physical and emotional health.

Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Groups are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to develop a support system, talk through issues and coping strategies, share feelings and learn about community resources.
