Research Update

Robert Burgess, Ph.D., Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor Contributing Factors in  Alzheimer’s Disease: Insights from Mouse Genetic Models.  Drawing on years of research, Dr. Burgess uses his gift for making science interesting and understandable for all audiences to talk about what we now know about the causes of Alzheimer’s.

Marilyn Hartle, MSW, LCSW and LaDonna Jensen, RN  Jentle Harts Consulting presents
Behavior is Communication: “Talk to ME, not my Dementia”.  With decades of direct care and
professional training experience between them including dementia mapping certification, the Jentle Harts team brings a fresh approach to person and family centered care.

 

Afternoon Workshop

Marilyn Hartle, MSW, LCSW and LaDonna Jensen, RN present Tending to the Special You: Caring for Care Partners.  This lively, interactive session focuses on supporting the caregiver, professional staff and families alike in his or her caregiving journey.
