Sundowning, a feature flim by James Cole of Falmouth and Aaron Duffey of Gorham, is the story of three generations of Maine lobstermen. The grandfather is the hard-edged ruler of the family until dementia, brought on by Alzheimer's disease, begins his decline. The film, shot on the Maine coast, presents major fishing industry issues including declining catches and disputes with Canadian fishermen. On a personal level, it deals with love, betrayal, loyalty, self-sacrifice and reconciliation. |
