What is younger-onset dementia?
Younger-onset dementia, also known as early-onset, is dementia that first occurs in someone younger than age 65, even as young as their 40s and 50s. The Alzheimer’s Association calculates that there are 220,000 to 640,000 people with younger-onset Alzheimer’s or a related dementia in the U.S. today.
