What is a Chat Room?

A chat room provides Internet users with a way to type messages to one another in "real time." When a user sends a message, it instantly appears on the computer screen of everybody who is in the "chat room." Messages are only seen by anyone logged into the chat room. Chat provides online users a way to simulate a conversation.

Caregivers, family members, and persons with dementia can all find extra support in the Alzheimer's Association Online Community Chat Rooms.

Learn more about Chat Rooms at our Chat Help page. If you experience any problems or have questions about the Chat Rooms, email onlinecommunity@alz.org and we will get back to you during business hours.
