One important last piece of signing up is to make sure you receive the confirmation email with the confirmation link. Click on the link to complete the registration process. Don't worry, your e-mail address is hidden from other users.
Why become a member?
As a member you can join the chat room discussions, and post your own messages and replies to discussions on the message board. You can receive notifications of new posts in discussions you are interested in, as well as email digest of the community's activity. This community is a great place for support and information as you navigate this journey of Alzheimer's or other related dementia. By posting your own message or chatting with other members, you will maximize your experience and the potential benefits this supportive community has to offer.
How to sign up - Step by Step
To create an account as a new member:
- Go to http://www.alz.org/living_with_alzheimers_message_boards_lwa.asp
- Now select the purple button REGISTER
- You are now at the Log-in Page. Select the option "I do not have a LIVE CLOUD account."
- Fill in the desired fields (email, password)
- Next, Agree to Live Cloud's Terms of Service
- Hit Submit
*Groupee will send you an email in order that the given email address can be confirmed. This is done in order to verify your email address and you must read it and follow the instructions to finish the registration process. Please look in your email inbox, and Junk/SPAM box for this email. Read it, and click on the provided link in order to confirm your email address.
- Finally you must read and agree to the Alzheimer's Association Guidelines.
After filling in the needed information, and confirming your email, you will be a new member. At the time of you first Log-in you will have the opportunity to fill in the necessary fields of MY PROFILE including your username, a signature, and zip code. Please go to MY PROFILE to learn more.
The Alzheimer's Association Online Community uses infopop software, which in turn uses Live Clod as its registration and authentication service. When you sign in to this site using Live Cloud, you will be asked to provide your email address and a password to sign you in.
