Heritage Community of Kalamazoo (HCK) is the oldest and largest continuing care retirement community in the region, with six “communities within a community” located on its Milwood area campus. HCK provides care and housing services for nearly 400 seniors through independent living apartments, assisted living, memory and Alzheimer’s care, skilled nursing care, and rehabilitation services.
“We’re delighted to have the Alzheimer’s Association office moving to our campus,” said Jim Kneen, HCK Chief Executive Officer. “Our common interests in serving individuals and families with Alzheimer’s and memory care needs made this cooperative arrangement extremely attractive. We’re very excited about the synergy between our two organizations.”
“This is a great opportunity for the Alzheimer’s Association to work in donated office space at Heritage Community of Kalamazoo because it allows our resources to go further in serving local families affected by Alzheimer’s,” said Marynell Noonan, Development Director for the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. “We expect this to be a great location from which to continue our work on behalf of individuals and families throughout the entire Southwest region.”
