About us

The Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter is a donor-supported, non-profit voluntary health organization dedicated to providing supportive programs and services to people with Alzheimer’s disease, their family members and care partners. Headquartered in Chelsea, the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter has three service regions and a governing board drawn from these regions. With offices in Kalamazoo, Lansing and Muskegon, the chapter serves 23 Michigan counties and an estimated 44,000 individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. 

Our mission
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

A world without Alzheimer's disease.

Financial information

The Michigan Great Lakes Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donor-supported organization. Programs and services are made possible through contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations. The chapter uses 77 percent of all funds raised for programs, services and research efforts.
