Support Groups
Designed for loved ones and friends of those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
It's very beneficial for family members and caregivers involved with caring for an individual with Alzheimer's disease to attend Coping/Support Group meetings. By attending meetings you will feel less alone and learn that others share in your feelings, frustrations and concerns. The listed groups are general groups for all caregivers of an individual with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders unless otherwise noted. House of Hope Alzheimer's Care – 2nd Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., 4801 North 52nd Street *This group is specifically for adult children of individuals with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Adult day services are provided on-site.

Sarah Care - Caregiver's Support Group with Activities for Your Loved One – 3rd Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., 3615 N 129th St. This group is especially for caregivers of individuals with dementia who cannot stay alone. Adult day services are provided on-site.
Fellas, Fun & Friendships - 3rd Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., Midlands Chapter office at 1941 South 42 Street, Suite 205. This men’s group offers lunch at a reduced rate.

Douglas County Young Onset Support Group – This group is specifically designed for those individuals 65 years of age or younger who are in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. Meetings include those with the diagnosis in addition to their loved ones. Held the 1st Wednesday of every month at 4:45pm at the Midland’s Chapter office, 1941 So. 42nd St., Suite 205, Omaha, NE. Early Stage Support Group - This group is specifically designed for those individuals 65+ years of age who are in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. Meetings include those with the diagnosis in addition to their loved ones. Held the 3rd Thursday of every month at 4:30pm at New Cassel Retirement Center, 900 North 90th Street, Omaha, NE. Pottawattamie County Early Stage Support Group - This group is specifically designed for those individuals 65+ years of age who are in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia.
