Early Stage Workgroup

As diagnostic tools become more sophisticated and the benefits of early diagnosis recognized, more people are being diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. The Early Stage Services Work Group is a group of professionals and community members whose goal is to create an early stage memory loss and dementia service continuum to meet the needs of this growing and underserved population.  Members attend monthly meetings eager to learn, network, and collaborate together.  If you are interested in planning and implementing innovative and creative programs and services for individuals with early stage Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia please contact us at 952.830.0512.

Lunch and Learn: HBO’s The Alzheimer’s Project
Invite your employees or social group to view one of HBO’s four new documentary films on Alzheimer’s disease.  The series takes a look at groundbreaking discoveries made by the country’s leading scientists, as well as the effects of this debilitating disease both on those with Alzheimer’s and on their families.  Chose from: (1) The Memory Loss Tapes (90 min), (2) Caregivers (48 min), (3) Momentum in Science – Part 1 (60 min) & Part 2 (60 min), or (4) Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am?
