Montana Grants for MedicAlert + Safe Return
Anyone who goes missing is cause for concern. But if that person has Alzheimer's disease or dementia, there is a good chance it is a matter of life and death.Enrolling in the MedicAlert + Safe Return program is a potentially life saving step to take for a person with dementia. Enrollment is currently $49.00 for the first year which is covered 100% by a grant through the State of Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Contact the Montana Chapter to arrange for enrollment.
GRANT - Respite Care Projects
Administration on Aging, Alzheimer's Demonstration GRANT through the Department of Health & Human Services.
The Alzheimer's Association has a three year contract with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Aging Services Bureau to provide Education and outreach in rural Montana Communities for the public and caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease. The contract is funded by an Alzheimer's Disease Demonstration Grant to states from the Agency on Aging. The grants are in place to allow care givers some time away from the day in - day out constant care an Alzheimer's patient can demand.
