The Marine Corps Marathon - also known as "The People's Marathon" - takes you on a tour the Washington, D.C. metro area. You'll start at the Iwo Jima Monument, just the first of many monuments you'll see as you continue through the course and into our Nation's Capital. This is truly an unforgettable experience! |

Thank you to our 2009 Team Unforgettable Members whose combined total fundraising topped out at over $50,000!

Over 40,000 people descended on our Nation's Capital to run in what is affectionately known as, "The People's Marathon" on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Of those 40,000 people, the Alzheimer's Association had 26 dedicated runners take to the streets to tackle the 26.2 course. Many of our runners have a personal connection to the disease and shared their passion for running to help us also help find a cure.
