In the 1980's, employers adapted human resource policies to accommodate the needs of workers with young children.  Now many of those same workers face a new responsibility: providing care for a parent, relative or friend, who may have memory challenges.

According to the Society for Human Resource Management, nearly 6 out of 10 individuals caring for an aging loved one work full-time.  That means a substantial number of employees are trying to balance family care with being focused, accurate, and energized at work.

The Alzheimer's Association Corporate Assistance Program (CAP) helps human resource professionals, employee assistance programs, and supervisors make a positive and supportive difference in the workplace.  CAP benefits the lives and productivity of employees who are caring for an aging loved one, specifically those with memory-related concerns.
