Young Champions Committee
The Young Champions Committee of the National Alzheimer’s Gala is forming to bring together a diverse group of civic-minded young professionals who either have been touched personally by Alzheimer’s or know that this disease can strike a family member or friend at any time.
The Young Champions Committee will join some of our country’s most influential political, business, social and philanthropic leaders in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
In addition, a new award – The Young Champions Award – will be showcased at the 6th annual National Alzheimer’s Gala. The award will honor a young professional for his or her commitment to the Alzheimer’s cause through philanthropy, volunteerism and/or advocacy. Through his or her personal efforts, the recipient of the award provides leadership and inspiration to others in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Young Champions Committee membership benefits include:
- Listing as a member in all pertinent Gala promotional materials
(pending timely notification)
- Invitation to a pre-Gala celebration party exclusively for young professionals (date and venue to be determined)
- VIP admittance to the Young Champions annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Football Game fundraiser (add link), benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, on November 7, 2009.
