Third Party Events are fundraisers developed by individuals with some management by our staff. These individuals have a personal connection to our cause and are looking to engage others with proceeds benefitting either their team participation in our various Chapter-hosted events such as Memory Walk, Tour de Canal, and our new Women's Campaign or our Chapter in general. The awareness and funds raised through these events helps the Alzheimer's Association in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Please join us for a charity happy hour to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, as well as care and support for people already affected by the disease. To promote brain health awareness, guests are encouraged to come wearing hats or wigs. It's not mandatory but a prize will be awarded for the most creative one! And with a $5 donation at the door, you will receive a ticket for a free drink! What could beat that?
Regular happy hour specials last from 5-8 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter.

"40-30-20-10"
Saturday, June 5, 2010
Center for the Arts at George Mason University
Fairfax, VA
Time: TBA
This collaborative event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the City of Fairfax Band and the 30th anniversary of the Alzheimer's Association in the year 2010. Featuring a concert benefitting the Chapter, the event offers an opportunity to emphasize the impact of Alzheimer's and related dementias on families and the community at large, stress the relationship between the arts and dementia care, increase community awareness of and involvement with both organizations, and secure funding and potential volunteer leadership for each organization.
