What is a Memory Cafe?

The Memory Cafe concept originated in England and has been expanding across the world. A Memory Cafe is a casual social meeting venue for those with progressive memory or cognitive impairment** and their caregivers, family and friends. It is an opportunity to provide information, resources and fellowship.

**mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontal temporal dementia, Parkinson’s disease, etc.

A Memory Cafe is not a support group or an adult daycare program, nor does it provide medical care. Memory Cafe is free. There may be a small fee for refreshments.
