Each player involved has a spread that includes a picture of him in the kitchen, his individual recipe, information on when he played for the Huskers and a paragraph about the charity he supports. Omaha Gives! is a one-day online fundraising event organized by the Omaha Community Foundation and held on May 25 to raise support for nonprofits in Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie Counties. It is a community-wide event to show off the area’s spirit of giving, raise awareness about local nonprofits, and celebrate the collective effort it takes to make this city great. Blondes vs. Brunettes, a game based on the age old tradition where two teams of women divided to reflect rivalries compete in a flag football game to inspire fundraising, awareness and action in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
The Longest Day -ANNUAL EVENT
On June 20, from sunrise to sunset, teams across the world will put their passion to good work, raising funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association. Held annually on the summer solstice, The Longest Day is about people doing what they love to honor the strength, heart and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease.
