Why Volunteer For The Alzheimer's Association?
OUR WORK IS VITAL
Alzheimer's disease affects over 5 million Americans, including 38,000 New Mexicans and their families. It is a devastating disease that robs people of that which is essential to who they are -- their memory. There is no cure. We educate communities, assist persons with Alzheimer's disease and their families, and raise funds to help find a cure. Our staff alone is incapable of reaching these lofty goals; we need you in whatever capacity you are willing to offer.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Every volunteer contributes to our ability to reach out to those suffering the effects of Alzheimer's disease. You can help bring understanding about what has been a very misunderstood disease, touch the lives of hurting families and work toward the day we conqueror this devastating disease.
VARIETY OF JOBS
You can take on a project, join a team, work on a committee, listen and advise on the Helpline, facilitate/co-facilitate a patient or caregiver support group, help in the office, speak to community groups, assist with the annual fundraisers, help organize your local Walk to End Alzheimer's, or help out with health fairs.
IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO WORK
Our team is a dedicated and fun group of individuals who offer a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere. We strive toward being the best provider of services through the use of talented volunteers in every department.
