Why Volunteer For The Alzheimer's Association?

OUR WORK IS VITAL

Alzheimer's disease affects over 5 million Americans including 35,000 New Mexicans and their families. It is a devastating disease that robs people of that which is essential to who they are -memory. There is no cure. We educate communities, assist persons with AD and their families, and raise funds to help find a cure. Our staff alone is incapable of reaching these lofty goals; we need you in whatever capacity you are willing to offer.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Every volunteer contributes to our ability to reach out to those suffering the effects of Alzheimer's disease. You can help bring understanding about what has been a very misunderstood disease, touch the lives of hurting families and work toward the day we conqueror this wretched disease.

VARIETY OF JOBS

You can take on a project, join a team, work on a committee, listen and advise on Helpline, facilitate/co-facilitate a patient or caregiver support group, help in the office, speak to community groups, assist with the annual fundraisers, The Memory Walk, or help out with health fairs.

IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

Our team is dedicated and a fun group of individuals who offer a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere. We strive toward being the best provider of services through the use of talented volunteers in every department.
