ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION, NEW MEXICO CHAPTER UPCOMING STATEWIDE EVENTS

Sunland Derby Gala, Las Cruces / El Paso


March 24, 2017.  Join us for a lavish evening at the Sunland Derby Gala. Featuring celebrity chef SCOTT CONANT from Food Network’s “Chopped” and a performance from Frank Sinatra impressionist BOB ANDERSON. Ticket prices start at $100 per seat and sponsorships start at $1,500. Every ticket purchase includes: complimentary food and wine tasting, an opportunity to bid in silent and live auctions, celebrity meet and greet, and free valet parking. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and Keep Memory Alive.

7th Annual Dancing Stars Gala.

Saturday, April 22, 2017, Sandia Resort & Casino. Albuquerque. An evening of fine dining and competitive dancing to raise funds for Alzheimer’s disease. Time 5pm-10:30pm.

STATEWIDE SAVVY CAREGIVER SCHEDULE

 January - June 2017 Savvy Class Listing

The Savvy Caregiver is an multi-session educational program for families and caregivers of those with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The Savvy Caregiver course meets once a week for seven consecutive weeks. Each class is two hours in length. Class size is limited to 15 participants. Our single-session Education Programs are designed primarily for non-professional or family caregivers who are seeking helpful knowledge and care management skills so that they might better understand how to care for their loved-ones. From "The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease" to "Know the 10 Warning Signs" to "Legal Issues for Caregivers" (and many more), each provides an opportunity to improve one's knowledge base and skill level; and also learn about support resources available in the area.
