Alzheimer’s Study Group unveils members, Web site

The Alzheimer’s Study Group, which includes distinguished national leaders in government, business, medicine and academia, is charged with evaluating the nation’s current effort to combat Alzheimer’s disease and developing recommendations to address the escalating epidemic.
This summer, Harry Johns, president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, and the co-chairs of the Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease — Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Reps. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) and Chris Smith (R.-N.J.) — as well as Senate Aging Subcommittee chair and ranking member Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) and Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), participated in a news conference with Gingrich and Kerrey to announce this effort.
