The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter will hold its annual Polo Classic on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Hillsborough Country Club in Neshanic Station.  The family-focused charity event, now in its 24th year, is sponsored by Eisai Inc.and regularly attracts over 2,500 people.  Proceeds will help benefit the programs and services the Association provides to the estimated 350,000 New Jersey individuals and their care partners who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

The Polo Classic features world-class polo players and ponies competing on a tent-lined field before thousands of attendees.  Complementing the polo match is a full schedule of activities with appeal across all ages: an antique and classic car display, the traditional divot-stomping, hot air balloons (weather-permitting), stilt walkers, balloon artists, a closest-to-the-pin golf contest, plus face painting, pony rides and a trackless train for everyone to ride.  Tailgate gatherings inside tents range from elaborate catered parties to simple picnics.

Gates open at 1 p.m., with the competitive polo match beginning at 3 p.m.  The alternate date is June 25.

Ways to Support the Polo Classic

From sponsoring a tent to buying or selling tickets for the annual vacation raffle, you are sure to find a way to support the Polo Classic.

Sponsor a tent

Corporations or businesses can sponsor a tent to host an employee picnic and/or entertain VIP guests or clients.  Individuals can sponsor a tent for family reunions, or for a unique way to celebrate any occasion with family and friends.  Tents can be catered and decorated to fit your group's budget and interests.  And for those who enjoy classic tailgating, we have a limited number of fieldside parking opportunities available.

Sponsor an activity

Sponsoring an event ceremony or amenity is a great way to have your name or your company’s name and logo seen by thousands of people. Imagine the visibility of your name and logo on the trackless train as it travels around the field for the entire day of the event. We have many activities that can be sponsored, including event ceremonies, the antique and classic car parade, children’s entertainment, and more.

Event Program & Alzheimer’s Disease Reference Guide

Purchasing an ad or memorial/tribute line in the Event Program and Alzheimer’s Disease Reference Guide is not only rewarding, but it also makes business sense. The publication’s unique design combines an ad journal with information about the diagnosis, treatment and care of individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease; along with lists of community resources. This beautiful program and reference guide holds its marketing value for an entire year or more.

Vacation Raffle

The Polo Raffle provides an opportunity to win a fabulous vacation for two to Scottsdale Arizona (donated by Gavel International) or a 40” Sharp AQUOS LCD TV (donated by Sharp Electronics). The purchase or sale of tickets adds significantly to the success of the Polo Classic and our ability to provide programs and services to families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The raffle drawing will take place on June 27 at the Alzheimer's Association’s Denville office.
