The Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter will hold this year's annual Polo Classic, sponsored by Eisai Inc, on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Hillsborough Country Club in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

The Polo Classic, a family-focused charity event now in its 25th year, features world-class polo players and ponies competing on a tent-lined field before thousands of attendees.  Complementing this year's match is a host of activities appealing to people of all ages: an antique and classic car display, the parade of Old English Hounds from the Amwell Valley Hounds Hunt Club and the traditional divot-stomping during intermission, stilt walkers, balloon artists, face painting and pony rides.  Tailgate gatherings under tents range from elaborate catered parties to simple picnics.

According to the Polo Classic’s chairman Frank Ciriello, senior vice president, new markets and established products at Eisai Inc., “Eisai has a long-standing commitment to the Alzheimer’s community, and our ongoing involvement with the Polo Classic has been a big part of that history. We have held our Annual Employee Picnic under a tent at the Polo Classic event for the last 11 years. Eisai is one of many corporations that view the event as a creative way to celebrate with their employees while supporting a worthy cause.”

Proceeds from the Polo Classic help support the essential programs and services of the Alzheimer's Association, such as our 24-hour toll-free telephone Helpline, respite care assistance program, support groups and education programs, as well as our commitment to funding scientific research, that we provide to the over 350,000 individuals in New Jersey and their caregivers who live with Alzheimer's disease.
