Text Size controls Normal font sizeMedium font sizeLarge font size PrintEmail
Young Adults for the Alzheimer's Association (YAAA) was created to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease amongst the young adult population. Just as importantly, we hope this group will be able to offer support to our peers and to provide a platform for advocacy and involvement in fighting this horrible disease.

Vision
To educate and engage young adults about the impact of Alzheimer's disease in our community.

Meet Our Junior Board Members:

Leary is originally from Savannah, Ga. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Finance from the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy. Leary has lived in Charlotte since 2005 and is an Associate at US Bank.

Carrie Gray moved to Charlotte about 2 years ago after graduating from Virginia Tech. She work for Robert Half International as a Staffing Manager. Her passion for the Alzheimer’s Association began when she joined Sigma Kappa her sophomore year of college. Alzheimer’s research was their philanthropy and she has been involved in many events to support the organization throughout the years. Her goal with YAAA is to educate the younger generations and organize events to promote awareness!

Lindsay Maynard is originally from Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University before moving to Charlotte four years ago. She has been active in philanthropy her entire life and currently works for the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center as the Special Gifts Coordinator. Lindsay has a passion for the Alzheimer’s Association because her late great-grandmother suffered from the disease and her uncle was recently diagnosed.
