WHAT IS A COMMUNITY EVENT?
Community events are fundraisers that benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. They are coordinated and executed by individuals or organizations independent from the Alzheimer’s Association. Money raised supports the programs and services offered in the Western Carolina Chapter and ultimately contributes funds to prevent and cure Alzheimer’s Disease.

Community events help increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease by remembering, honoring and cherishing those affected. We encourage you to dedicate your event to individuals who are close to your heart and to celebrate the memories you’ve experienced with them over the years.

The possibilities are endless and you get to create your own unique fundraising experience to support the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Whatever the event, the Alzheimer’s Association is honored to benefit from your efforts. We will assist you in any way possible to make your event a success! Whether your event is a small get-together with friends or a large party, our staff will help you celebrate the goal of ending Alzheimer’s.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
All revenue benefits the work of the Alzheimer’s Association. Of every dollar raised, 69 percent benefits local programs and services offered by the Western Carolina Chapter, 14 percent is dedicated to research and 17 percent covers local administration costs.
IS THERE A MINIMUM DONATION AMOUNT?
No donation is too small. We appreciate your efforts and welcome any monetary amount towards the support of our programs and our efforts to conquer this debilitating disease.
