Don't miss Abilene's most festive fundraiser!  The western-themed dinner, dance and auction always attracts a crowd of folks steppin' out to eat, dance and bid on a variety of irresistable items.  This year the fabulous  Almost Patsy Cline Band from Bandera will give everyone a reason to get up and dance. Sharon's Catering will provide a mouth-watering barbeque dinner as good as any in west Texas.  And the fun?  Well, that comes from a few hundred people kicking up their heels in support of the Alzheimer's Association.

The Alzheimer's Association is pleased to announce that Larry Hall and Shea Woodard-Hall, will serve as honorary co-chairs for the 8th Annual Steppin’ Out for Memories Dinner, Dance and Auction.      

Former Abilene mayor Gary McCaleb and prominent neuropsychologist Samuel D. Brinkman are being honored for their outstanding committment to the Abilene community.  Dr. McCaleb is Vice President and Professor of Management at Abilene Christian University and Executive Director of ACU's Center for Building Community, which seeks creative and practical solutions to crises that exist at all levels of society.  Dr.  Brinkman is a an Alzheimer's researcher, President of Dementia Screening, Inc., a member of the Alzheimer’s Association Governing Board and a radio talk show host.  The Auction Committee is thrilled to be able to honor these distinguished individuals.
